Blow Up, the Safurday night nouveau-mod rave-up at The Laurel Tree, has become so absurdly popular that these days, to be sure of getting in, you have to start queuing as they lock up the week before. Its telling that most of thecentral figures in today's scene - Menswear, Elastica, the Blow Up crew, Powder, the staff of Food Records (Blur's label), everyone from PR company Savage & Best (wno "handle" Menswear, Suede, Elastica, Pulp, Powder, Marion and so on) - are, to varying degrees, absurdly paranoid about being linked with "some supposed Camden scene" (ie: each other).
