Blow Up Blow Up is back at The Bussey Building in Peckham this August with live guests The HOSTS + David Woodcock + Blow Up DJs.

Expect classic tracks from both Blow Up's past and present: from Brit Pop era favourites (the scene which the club helped kick-start way back in 1993 in Camden Town) to the current new Pop stylists putting the art back into pop . . . Brit Pop, Glam, Mod & New Wave colliding with 60's Soul, Beat, Garage, Funk, Ska, Swinging Soundtracks, Hammond Heavy Jazz, Easy Listening & Ye-Ye!

THE HOSTS

Five smartly-attired gentlemen from the North, Sheffield's finest retromantics THE HOSTS have been smouldering away for a while. Now this year the quintet have released their debut album on Fierce Panda (produced by Richard Hawley) with the singles 'September Song' and 'Give Your Love To Her', both playlisted on BBC 6 Music and Radio 2. The band have just been announced to support Suede this June and their 'wall-of-soundscape' has been known to take in Buddy Holly, Phil Spector, The Velvet Underground, The Beach Boys and Jonathan Fire*Eater.

DAVID WOODCOCK [14]

David Woodcock returns to Blow Up, following the launch of debut album this August on Blow Up Records. David is a singer songwriter based in his hometown of Southend-on Sea, and his debut album follows the singles 'Same Things' and 'Beggars Can't Be Choosers' which won him support from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music (New Favourite Band), Jon Kennedy on Xfm and Gary Crowley on BBC London amongst others, and he recently recorded a session for Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music too:
